Max Factory released the preview pictures of Figma Homura and while she does come with a plethora of accessories, it would seem they had a fatal oversight.
Figma Homura doesn’t come with an open shield!!!
That is exceedingly disappointing! Hope the guys at GSC know that when Homura activates her powers, the three globes on her shield open to reveal purple spheres. For someone who is exceedingly nit-picky about these kinds of things, warning sirens and panic bells are going off inside my head. Without them, how will I ever pose Homura with her powers activated?
It’s just as bad, or even worse, as not having a Mission Memory-less Faiz Pointer for the S.H.Figuarts Faiz Blaster Form.

But that Homura figma looks so sweet otherwise… I really wish I had the money to pick one up (and Madoka of course.)
I don’t think any figma is ever perfect to be honest but they still come the closest. It’s better then nothing I would say.
I think, if anything, dude, it’s less of an oversight and more of a lack of funds in GSC/Max Factory’s budget to include such a minor detail; the detail on the shield wasn’t exactly prominent throughout the series anyway, apart from in episode 9 (?). I can understand that some would see the lack of the additional option as a slight detriment to the figure, but I can quite easily overlook it due to the other accessories. I always look at it this way: never judge a figure by what it’s missing but what’s included.

Oh, and since we’re on the topic of Homu-Homu….
..Do not ask.
Oh, and have you thought about painting the globes in case if they don’t fix it?
