It has been years in the making… but finally, for the 200th episode, I’m reviewing the Yahoo! Japan Store Limited Soul of Chogokin SPEC Evangelion Unit 01 ‘Synchro Rate of 400%’ Figure.
It’s been awhile, but I’m back with another Figma figure review, this time covering Good Smile Company and Max Factory’s first foray into the Evangelion franchise with Figma Mari.
Rounding up the trio of Robot Damashii Evangelion figures is Rei’s Eva Unit 00. It would have been a perfect figure release if it were not for one small flaw that has nothing to do with the actual figure itself.
What better way to celebrate the third anniversary of Actar’s Reviews than with an Evangelion themed review? But instead of a reviewing a regular Evangelion figure, we’ll be taking a look at the recently released playset representation of the Nerv Base by Bandai.
Shinji’s iconic purple beast, the Evangelion Unit 01 based off the new design from the new movie, Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, finally makes its appearance in the Robot Damashii line.
Asuka’s signature Evangelion Unit 02 from the new movie, Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, makes its appearance in Bandai’s Robot Damashii line, with all the quality you’d come to expect from a Robot Damashii figure.
The new movie Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance is definitely one of the biggest and most anticipated Anime movies of the year. When I heard that Singapore would be screening the movie, I couldn’t wait to see unadulterated EVA awesomeness on the big screen.
…and now that I have watched it, here are my thoughts, feelings and analysis of the movie.
Of course, there will be SPOILERS!!! For my spoiler free review click here.
What more can I say? The SOC SPECs by Bandai are definitely THE figures of the Evangelion units. Forget Revoltech, forget the original Soul of Chogokin figures, you need to own this if you consider yourself a fan of Evangelion.
