Thanks to Anime Festival Asia, I and many Sora no Otoshimono fans had the opportunity to watch the movie, Sora no Otoshimono: Tokeijikake no Angeroid. As a Sora no Otoshimono fan, it would be a gross understatement to say that I went into the movie with HIGH expectations.
…unfortunately, I felt that the movie was a let down due to a number of problematic issues.
While my 21st Birthday is technically on the 29th of June, I had a pretty extravagant celebration with numerous family and friends this past Friday. Being a pretty special occasion (as 21st Birthdays usually are), a pretty special decoration cake was made with none other than adorable Loli Fate! (^o^)
The cake is gigantic. The picture of Fate is made by putting together numerous individually colored pieces of fondant icing. The effect is simply phenomenal. The cake itself is made of fondant, marzipan (almond icing) and regular cake with layers of cream with strawberries.
Apologies for not providing any more pictures, but in the flurry of excitement and proceedings, the cake was chopped up and devoured before I had the chance to do so. (^.^;)
You could say that I literally ate Fate out. (The jokes keep getting worse and worse don’t they?)
Birthday loot (and everything else I got this month) soon!
It has been years in the making… but finally, for the 200th episode, I’m reviewing the Yahoo! Japan Store Limited Soul of Chogokin SPEC Evangelion Unit 01 ‘Synchro Rate of 400%’ Figure.
After putting it off for quite some time, I have managed to quickly pen down some of my thoughts on the movie, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st.
Both Summer Wars (2009) and the Second Digimon Movie: Bokura no War Game (2000) were both directed by Mamoru Hosoda… and on closer inspection, these two movies might have more in common than just being directed by the same person.
Following the jump will be detailed comparison between the two movies inclusive of plot details, screenshot comparisons and more. Those who have not watched either movie yet (or at least haven’t watched Summer Wars), please do so because they are both phenomenal movies.
(SUPER PICTURE HEAVY. Don’t get me started on how long the entire post took to complete…)
