I have been a student of the Japanese language for quite sometime. Nowadays, when watching Anime, Drama or Tokusatsu, I always analyze the translations to learn and improve my own language capability as I myself would like to be a translator one day. Recently, I have been perplexed by the difficulty that people have been having with the translation of the phrase ‘キター’.

Well, it’s that time of the year again. Yup, AFAX or Anime Festival Asia X (my local Anime and Japanese pop culture convention) is right round the corner. It’s held on the 13th and 14th of November at the Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Halls, and as always, I’ll be attending.
Today, we shall be taking a look at the closest and most affordable replica of Yamada’s Mina figure from the metafictional Anime ‘Getsumen To Heiki Mina’ from the hit modern day Japanese love story ‘Densha Otoko’.
While I usually don’t review completed PVC figures due to the fact that there isn’t really much to talk about unlike action figures, dolls or merchandise, I’m making an exception this time.
